Cants into Cans, Dreams into Plans

Hi there! I hope everyone had a wonderful week. I’m not sure about you guys, but this recent cold front has made me appreciate fall weather even more. I would be perfectly okay with it staying fall until summer starts again! My dad has always loved the winter, fortunately, I did not get that gene!

While I will still link the outfit details listed below, today’s post is not my typical fashion inspiration. Actually, it’s quite the opposite. I was writing one morning in my journal (which I encourage each of you all to do!) when I had one of those ‘ah ha’ moments. In this particular instant, I realized every decision I had ever made has helped get me to where I am today. (sounds simple, right?) The good decisions, the bad, and yes even the ugly! So I ask each of you to picture yourself 10+ years from now. Then ask yourself, “Are the decisions that I’m making now going to lead me to that picture?” If your answer is, yes, then keep it up! You will thank yourself 10x over some day. If you answered, no, don’t wait any longer! Today is the day. Make a change.

I used to have a ‘poor-pitiful-me’ mindset. With a big chip on my shoulder, I made excuses like ‘if I wasn’t from a small town I would’ve had better opportunities’, or ‘because of my situation the world owes me something’. News flash Bailey!! Where I am now or where I was then is a direct reflection of past decisions. For me, that was a total eye opener, and I had to realize that before any of my coulda, shoulda, woulda’s turned to I can, I will, I am!

If you have had a similar ‘ah ha’ moment, I would love to hear about it! I hope that sharing my experience with you all is helpful and hopefully you don’t make the same mistake I did. Sending my love to all <3

Like you said decisions and choices don’t just effect your life they effect the quality of life that you enjoy in the present. Sometimes when I have a bad day I’ll step back and find someone to thank. Today I thank you for how you choose to light your world and it lights those around you! I am so proud of you and I don’tknow how I was so blessed to have you, daughter!
